What ages are best suited for your classic surprise packs?
At this time, our Monthly Surprise Pack can be modified for ages 6 months to 6 years. When you sign up, simply select your child's size and input his/her birthdate. We take care of the rest! Whenever your child grows into the next clothing size, you can easily login to your account and update your subscription at whyandwhale.com/login.
When will I receive my classic surprise pack?
Subscriptions are open between the first and last day of each month, and ship right after that cutoff date. All boxes ship out the 1-2 weeks of each month. So, for example, if you subscribe any time between December 1-30, your first box will ship in the first week of January.
Can I cancel anytime?
You can skip, stop or cancel your subscription anytime! Cancellations are free and easily completed by logging into your account and clicking "edit", then select "skip renewal" or "cancel". You can choose to delay renewals by one month, or by a few days when emailing us in advance to let us know. See more about how to cancel below.
What comes inside the surprise pack?
Each Why and Whale Surprise Pack contains around 3-6 new, modern items for your child to enjoy. You can always look forward to brand new and fun valuable items each month! ...We feature a growing list of cool finds and popular brands most are run by moms like you and ethically made in the USA.
Do you ship internationally?
Why and Whale is based in the United States and offers reasonable shipping rates worldwide.
How do I redeem my Why and Whale gift certificate from another retailer?
If you purchased your gift card at another retailer, you can apply it towards a subscription at whyandwhale.com/subscribe. Once you've subscribed, you can apply giftcards to your account balance so future renewals will apply those gift cards before it charges your method of payment.
When will I be billed again?
Subscriptions automatically renew on the 15th of each month. On the 15th of each month, we'll automatically re-bill the payment method you have on file. If you plan to make any changes, or if you'd like to cancel or skip a month, just login to your account and do so before the 15th.
Do you offer refunds/exchanges?
Due to the nature of our surprise packs, we cannot offer refunds on payments that have already been processed. However, if you received a damaged or defective item, please e-mail us at email@example.com and we'll be happy to work with you to make it right.
What if I want to pause or cancel my subscription renewal?
Your subscription renewal requires no obligation or commitment. You can choose to pause your subscription renewal or cancel at anytime. No hidden fees. We re-bill subscriptions on the 15th of each month, so be sure to cancel before the 15th to avoid receiving next month's package.

Please note that canceling your subscription does not issue a refund on payments that have already been made. If you've already been charged for the upcoming box, you'll still receive that one - but you will see no further charges or shipments after that.
